Creator Notes
- Check out the Diablo III Damage Calculator F.A.Q at TheAsianGamer Forums: D3 Dmg Calc FAQ.
- Read the latest site updates at TheAsianGamer Forums: Site Updates.
- I fixed calculations so that your profile when uploaded should match 100% to your Battle.net Profile. Be sure to include any companion followers if you forgot.
- Your calculated DPS may be slightly off from what is displayed in-game. This is due to some inconsistencies on how the game measures Damage versus how the Character Profiles measure damage. For the most part, the calculator will match up to Battle.net.
- Some rings and amulets with a damage range (like “24-48 damage”) might have a hidden bonus minimum damage affix that isn’t displayed on the item. Unfortunately the only way to tell if you do or not is by looking at the Battle.net API information for your equipped item. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, but think you may have something like that, drop me an e-mail with your Profile link and I can help determine whether or not you do.
- If your weapon has +% Damage on it, please do not input that anywhere. It is unnecessary in this calculator. Just follow the item location tooltips indicated by the (?), and you’ll be fine.
- You are required to input your primary stat for each individual item. You will have to do a little math in the event you have gems in your items, but aside from that you should now be able to get a good idea as to how much of a damage upgrade a newly equipped item is.
- This Diablo III Damage Calculator works for ALL classes and ALL levels. Extra item slots are added just in case you own legendary items that have affixes that aren’t usually on that item slot.
- One-handed weapon + offhand calculations, AND DUAL-WIELD calculations should be pretty much spot on. Maybe off in the HUNDREDTH decimal.
- If you want to use the Save/Load/Delete Data buttons, you must have cookies enabled/storable on your browser. The data will automatically survive for 35 days unless handled otherwise.

hf
Check out the Tutorial video, I have a Won Khim Lau example in it. -Dyril
Heya,
Thx dude, and …sorry.
btw, your website is great and your calculator is amazing…
just 3 words : SO FUCK1N USEFULL !!!
hf guys.
Np dude, sorry I took the lazy way out and just told you to look at my tutorial, it’s just easier to explain that way. Otherwise WALL OF TEXT. =) -Dyril
Came across your website a week ago from a gamer I met online, and I was sitting at 22k dps. My dps with his help, talking about crit/crit damage, attack speed, and most importantly… YOUR WEBSITE… my dps has shot up to over 60k in little under a week. You have immensely helped my character know what changes to make, and how they would effect my character!
THANK YOU!
Hello! I’m glad that our site’s helped you out! Keep surpassing yourself, and soon you will make short work of all those new things coming in Patch 1.0.5. -Dyril
dyril,
just wanted to thank you for putting this together. you have saved me quite a bit of gold and heart ache buying equipment that didnt improve my build. i refer all my friends here and was actually refered to you by another friend.
keep up the good work!
thx
bill
Awesome! I’m glad to be of service! Thanks for the referrals, it’s been my goal since June to make my site more popular. -Dyril
hi
Do you need Chinese Version Translation?
I can do this for ya.
and then i can recommend this site to our Asian users.
Contact me email if you need help.
Thank you very much Dyril for this awesome tool! Is there any EHP calculator coming anytime soon?
Unfortunately not. Both my girlfriend and I don’t even play D3 anymore, but we still offer troubleshooting support, and do minor things like bug fixes and translation work. Though I still plan on editing any equations to align with the latest D3 patches. -Dyril
there seems to be a problem in calculating +damge range from rings / amulets (rings in my case but I suspect they work the same)
without rings the calc is only 3-4 dps off
with rings its like 1500-2000 dps off
I sent you a reply e-mail since I saw the e-mail before this comment. Should be working now for you. -Dyril
thank you so much
Why you dont play D3 anymore, Dyril? it’s so sad.
Thank you very much for the program, it’s really awesome!!!
We just have a lot of stuff on our plates. I’ve been playing WoW again with a bunch of friends. Both of us have been looking for jobs, too. Can’t be unemployed forever =(
Truly Amazing website, as so many have already stated, this site has saved me tons of gold and headache. I would not have the build & gear that I have today without this site. I am truly in your debt.
I don’t know if this has been asked or not but I thought I would ask just in case it hasn’t. I play a WD and it would be great if under the WD skills if you could add the buffs option for Gruesome Feast and Soul Harvest. It just helps to see where my dps is at when fully buffed.
Thanks
Thanks for the kind words, glad our tool’s helped you out in your quest for gear perfection in D3!
I’ll look into how to add on more buffs, but I make no promises =P In the meantime, you can add in the extra Int from those skills in the +Prime Stat field (in Buffs/Skill Modifiers section) to compensate for our missing check-boxes.

Hi, there seems to be a 2k difference…would you be able to investigate?
You need an Enchantress selected. -Dyril
thanks for that…wasn’t aware our profiles included follower buffs
Sprry didnt read too much,
just wanted to ask
Where do i enter
Weapomn Damage%
+XXX Min Dmg
+XXX Max Dmg
+Elemental Damager – NOT the % thing…
The tool is awesom…
You don’t add it anywhere. +Elemental Min-Max Damage is already included in the White Min-Max Damage display of the weapon. -Dyril
ohh… nice thanks for the quick response.
Ive been cooking my brains thinking how to do it.
First of all, I would like to thank you for creating and distributing such a useful tool! I know many people uses this and it’s invaluable tool for checking item performance before buying.
I am a bit confuse on the whole elemental damage calculation. Take my profile for example:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Alphy-1445/hero/7912330
I have the Tal Rasha set that gives me 3% Fire, 3% Lighting. I also have an amulet that adds 6% Arcane. What I don’t get is how come on the DPS sheet and apparently by Blizzard calculation it only take in account of 6% elemental damage addition instead of 12%. Which attributes are not contributing? Or is it already and merely not showing up in the modifier? I am wondering about this as I am planning to get a Zuni Boots which has 6% poison dmg addition but not sure how that will contribute to my DPS.
Thanks in advance!
Hello! Thanks, glad you find it useful.
I’m about 99% certain it’s because the new Tal Rasha bonuses are not +Elemental Damage % related. Check out the wording compared to the neck. What the calculator is actually accounting for is just the +6% on the amulet, which is worded in such a way that it uses Elemental Damage calculations. The Tal Rasha bonuses on the other hand, appear to only apply to specific skills, so your damage number on Battle.net/in-game will not reflect increased damage based on what skills you have.
Zunimassa’s Boots, on the other hand, use the same wording as your neck, so you’d just add the amulet value to the boot value.
-Dyril
Awesome! You are correct. I’ve tested this by removing the amulet. I guess there’s really not much benefit on the Skill specific dmg, as you at most will only gain 3% per skill as there are no multi-elemental skills. Plus Who really uses fire skill for mage??
Yet again your tool have provided me a route to upgrade! I am going to go for a Zuni Marrow (which I’ve just got a drop of!), and then upgrade with Zuni boot and Lucani bracer, which would dramatically improve my Survivability with DPS gain now that I know I won’t loose 6% Elemental DPS.
Thanks!
No problem. -Dyril
